President's Message
Dear physiatrist colleagues, It is with great expectations and great pleasure that we are thinking about and working on the first in-person congress after these two difficult years of pandemic. Our greatest challenge will be to overcome the last congress, which, despite being virtual, was very welcoming, with a massive participation of our members and several foreign invitees.
We have already booked the Frei Caneca Convention Center (4th floor), in São Paulo, to hold the XXVIII Brazilian Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, which will take place from November 12th to 14th, 2022. This location was chosen because of its excellent structure, which will provide comfort for attendees and better interaction between participants, which we miss so much and for which we are so anxious. Furthermore, it is in a central area of São Paulo, with easy access and many options available for hotels and restaurants. We intend to maintain a high scientific level, bringing innovation and updates in the various areas in which we operate, with the most active speakers in each of the themes covered.
And, of course, all this effort will be dedicated to each of our members, without whom none of this would make sense. The congress is a unique moment for learning or consolidating knowledge. It's also a great opportunity to get to know each other better and to know which area each of us is focusing on more. It is our “showcase” and our chance for scientific interaction with experts from other areas.
We are counting on all of you at the congress, and before that, with your suggestions for topics to be covered by its program, which will all be very welcome.
It will be a pleasure to keep in touch throughout this period. Count on us and our Society!
Eduardo de Melo Carvalho Rocha. President, ABMFR (2020-2022). Pérola Plapler Congress President
